We strive to make each and every visit to our office a fun one!

Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

The Dental Home is intended to provide a place other than the Emergency Room. Our office is geared towards youngsters, you will find the design, decorations and activities provide a friendly environment.

We appreciate your cooperation in making the dental visit very positive and enjoyable. You can announce the visit, if old enough, but let dentist and his staff explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less fussing at home concerning the visit, the better the resulting attitude. There are critical ways to build a successful experience by refraining from words that might cause unnecessary fear, such as "needle," "shot," "pull," "drill" or "hurt." The office uses words that convey the same message, but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child.

We invite you (the legal guardian/parent) to stay with your child during the initial examination. You are more than welcome to accompany your child to the treatment room. During hygiene appointments with teenagers, another adult may bring in the teen. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.

We invite you to participate in our online system. Features include:   · Request Appointments Online   · Confirm Appointments via Email   · Receive Text Message Appointment Reminders    · Submit Patient Satisfaction Surveys    · Refer Your Friends Online       By filling out the paperwork online you agree to allow Dentrix Hub to use the information that you type in providing your services.  We use this information to provide you with excellent treatment. It is your responsibility to confirm your child's appointment with our office by phone, making sure we have 2 working phone numbers. As a condition of treatment by this office, pay at the time of services or by providing verifiable dental insurance information in the new patient paperwork. Understand that all dental services are charged directly to the patient. The guardian(s) are personally responsible for payment of all dental services. This office will help prepare the patient's insurance forms or assist in making collections from insurance companies and will credit any collections to the patient's account; however, we cannot render services on the assumption that our charges will be paid by an insurance company.

How are appointments scheduled?

The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason. Dental appointments are an excused absence. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued.

Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient we ask that you please notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you are unable to keep your appointment. Another patient, who needs our care, could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this regard.

Do I stay with my child during the visit?

We invite you (the legal guardian/parent) to stay with your child during the initial examination. You are more than welcome to accompany your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult or stay home. Allow the staff to build a closer rapport with your child, overcoming apprehension.
